Top TenWaysTo Include Asian Decorations To Your Space

Romantic settings and comforting spaces are a cinch when you use Asian decor. It’s extremely simple to transform your home into an exotic retreat.

1) Remove as much clutter as you can. A cluttered space will take away from the inherent beauty of each item used, so Asian spaces are typically decorated in a clean and tidy fashion. Every item should have its own space so that it can be admired without another item taking attention away from it.

2) You want to try to find a way to balance out the space you’re adorning. Feng Shui has become more and more popular over the past several years, and it’s a great way to balance positive and negative energies in your home.. Being symmetrical is one way to manage balance in an environment, but try also looking at size, function, and color, also.. It may take some experimentation to find the best space for your decor.

3) Get a bonsai. If you enjoy plants in your home, bonsai are wonderful to have around in your Asian theme. However, if you’re not looking for a high-maintenance plant, you might want to stay away from bonsai. Artificial bonsai are also available if you just simply aren’t a “plant person”.

4) Add a small water fountain. One can often find water fountains in Feng Shui decorations. They are relaxing to have around, and if you put a couple of drops of bleach in the water, it will keep it from growing any smelly bacteria or algae.

5) Use red paint. Paint the space you want to turn “Asian” red. Red is often associated with Asian-themed decor. If painting an entire room is either “too much color” for you, or out of your budget, consider painting just one wall as a red accent wall.

6) Get a small gong. Adding a small gong to your decor is a very classy way of integrating Asian-themed decorating. Plus, they’re fun to ring every now and then!

7) Paper Fans make wonderful wall décor. The perfect paper fan won’t be difficult to find, since they come in a range of sizes.. This way, you can find the perfect size for your space without being overwhelming.

Watch your local flea market for Asian and Oriental decor. Delightful treasures and trinkets await if you can tolerate hunting around for them.

9) Accent with bronze. Bronze is an absolutely wonderful addition to any Asian theme since it’s been utilized in Asian art for centuries. Always remember that simplicity is key.

10) Put a sake set or tea set on display. Even if you firmly dislike these Eastern beverages, many of the sake sets are divinely decorated. Your guests need never know that you don’t use them!
